Another top weekend

All in all a very good weekend thank you very much. Got my Honeymoon reading sorted out (“Swag”, “The Switch”, “52 Pick Up” and “The Hunted” by the ever reliable Elmore Leonard) and then met my dad for a good few pints. My sister and Lyn were both there as well and it was a wonderfully relaxing 4 hours in the beer garden of The Tap and Spile. It was made even more fun when Matt called and told me Leeds had beaten Burnley 1-0, leaving us still in the drop zone but only on goal difference – I live in hope.

Amy invited her round her place for a few birthday drinks that turned into a lot of birthday drinks and resulted in a very silly and completely unnecessary trip to Flares. £4.00 to get in and we could only stand it for one pint so it turned out to be a very expensive pint. I must say all Amy’s friends seemed very nice and I enjoyed the evening.

Woke up with a bit of a sore head but a fry-up from my mum sorted that out, a few hours spent with my Gran who told me all about my Norwegian heritage (my family originally came from a place in Norway called Hell) and then went home via a brief stop off to see my dad once more. No piccies I’m afraid, Jen took the camera to her hen weekend and it sounds like she had a good time. Of course she came home with the usual array of plastic knobs, gadgets that are suspiciously willy-shaped and a cake that was breast shaped but it wouldn’t be a hen weekend without it. Why is it that stag weekend’s are more notorious again?

All this was topped off with a fine 5-1 win for the Magic All Stars on Monday evening, yours truly bagging two and setting up the other three (I’m top scorer now with 6, a goal a game, not that I’m blowing my own trumpet or anything) to put us within three points of that coveted third spot with four games left to play. We can do it!!!
